An Integrated Approach for Improving the Quality of Science and Math Education COC had implemented the project entitled “An Integrated Approach for Improving the Quality of Science and Math Education” with financial support from initiative Africa with earmarked budget of 1,477,056.00 ETB. During the project period COC provided Training for 40 Math and science teachers selected from 2 schools of Sidama Zone and one school from Hawassa city and the teachers provided tutorial class for 8 months on the school selected. And also two elementary schools capacity had been strengthened through rehabilitation of Makibassa and Ferro Andegna schools library and two elementary schools capacity had been strengthened through building of Taramesa and Yuwe school laboratories. For Taramesa School Library more than 300 books have been distributed. Moreover, CoC prepared Manual on utilising Laboratories Kits and provide on the job training for 6 teachers. During the project period the improvement on students attitudes toward science and math subjects were recognised from interview conducted on schools and the grade scores they achieved.
